Georgia Department of Transportation Bridge Replacement Projects

Bridge Replacement 

The purpose of these projects was to replace structurally deficient bridges and bring the roadway geometry adjacent to the bridges up to current design criteria and standards. These included eight individual projects:

- SR 52 at Candler Creek, Hall County
- SR 191 over Scull Shoal Creek, Madison County
- SR 4/US 1 at Swift Creek Bridge Replacement, Toombs County
- SR 203 over Dry Creek, Wayne County
- SR 48 at East Fork Little River Bridge Replacement, Chattooga County
- SR 136 over Chickamauga Creek Bridge Replacement, Walker County
- SR 3/US 41 at Tiger Creek Bridge Replacement, Catoosa County
- CR 467/Bickley Highway at Can Creek, Ware County

Street Smarts was responsible for: Project Management, Public Involvement, Environmental Documents, Surveying, Traffic Engineering, Concept Reports, Drainage Design and Traffic Control.


State Route 15 Bypass
Tennille, Georgia

State Route 15 Bypass 

For this project, Street Smarts was selected to design a bypass on the east side of the Cities of Tennille and Sandersville, Georgia. The proposed project is nine miles in length and includes three bridges. The project scope includes public involvement, concept development, preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and final plans.


State Route 3 Leesburg Bypass
Leesburg, Georgia

Leesburg Bypass 

Street Smarts was selected to design a bypass on the north side of the City of Leesburg, Georgia. The proposed project is three and one-half miles in length and includes one bridge. The project includes land surveying, subsurface utility engineering, traffic analysis, public involvement, concept development, preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and final plans.


Automated People Mover
Hartsfield Jackson Internation Airport

Automated People Mover 

As part of this innovative and exciting Design-Build project, Street Smarts was tasked with providing land surveying, drainage design, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, right-of-way plans, utility coordination and plans, and coordination during construction phase.

This project included the design and construction of an elevated, automated people mover from the new consolidated rental car facility (CONRAC) to the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC) Station.
